Bridge is starting a Michigan book club to counter the quarantine blues

book club

Bridge is launching a virtual book club and you're invited!

Many of us are searching for ways to connect in this moment of social distancing, including members of our team. Though we can’t meet up in person, please join us for a virtual discussion of a good read based right here in Michigan.

We need your help to choose our first book. Please make your selection from three Michigan-focused books by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 8.

Once Bridge readers make their book choice, we will post instructions about how to participate in the book club on the Bridge website. Throughout the month there will be opportunities to discuss via online commenting with fellow Bridge readers, and we’ll conclude with an hourlong  Zoom call, moderated by newsletter editor and production manager Monica Williams and membership director Amber DeLind, to discuss the book.

And for Bridge Club members, we’re providing an e-version of the selected book as a membership benefit. If you’re not already a member, join today for as little as $1 and support our nonprofit newsroom.

We look forward to connecting with you over a good book!
